The Joint Leadership of the United States Congress (Congressional Award Board of Directors) offers the Horizon Award a special recognition. The Horizon Award is given to individuals from the private sector who have worked to increase opportunities for all Americans. It also honors those who have set extraordinary models for youngsters through their achievements in life. Tom was a wonderful co-player, grateful to be in such a talented and experienced groupof players, practicing and playing hard when his Magnum schedule allowed. .... He was very patient with us all and we loved the huge crowds that replaced the usual small number of players' spouses and friends during the national tourney matches. ".
