Bellamy Young

Young's acting career started in the theater. She was Mary The Life's first cast, Young made her Broadway premiere in the role of Mary in the musical on Broadway in 1997. In addition, she performed off Broadway in Stephen Sondheim's Merryly We Rolled Along (1994) in addition to as Randy Newman's Faust (from 1995 until 1996). The year 1995 was the year she made her TV debut as a regular on The NBC daytime soap show Another World as Dr. Courtney Evans. Both in 1997 and 1998, she played a cameo in Law & Order, playing two characters. In 1999 she made her film debut in a tiny part on the crime drama Black and White and later was a co-star in a number of independent films. From the mid-2000s onwards, she was spotted in guest-starring characters on several television dramas and comedies, which included The Drew Carey Show, The X Files, ER, Frasier, The West Wing, NCIS, Medium, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Two and a Half Men, Supernatural, Drop Dead Diva, and Castle. Young has appeared on over 30 TV shows between 2000 and 2011. Young was one of the regular actors on Peacemakers, a USA Network television series that ran from 2003 to 2004. After nine episodes of a season, the show ended up being cancelled. There were recurring characters in the Lifetime legal drama series For the People as Deputy Dist. Atty. Agnes Hunt on NBC drama American Dreams in 2003 as Diane Shaw, Dr. Grace Miller on NBC Scrubs in 2004 as Monica West, Assistant State Attorney Monica West in CBS CSI: Miami between 2005 and 2006, and Ellen Darling on ABC soap Dirty Sexy Money in 2008-2009 as the eldest son-in-law in the Darling Family.
