Greenwood was born and raised in Toronto. She also is a professional martial artist, and been a dance instructor in the school. She went to several vocal and musical theater classes in Canada. The first acting class she took was at multiple places, such as the "Professional Actors' Lab", the "Jason Fraser Studio" as well as the "Etobicoke School of the Arts" along with"University Settlement" "University Settlement Drama Group". She attained a Bachelor of Science from University of Toronto in 2006. University of Toronto in 2006. Her debut onscreen role was in a low-budget Canadian movie called Pinkville.
