Sharp was born to Rochester, New York, Sharp was an avid musician and was a clarinet player the piano, cello, and clarinet at the prestigious Hochstein School of Music. Her enthusiasm for school theatre was the reason she applied to The Boston Conservatory, where she was awarded a scholarship. Cum Laude awarded Sharp a B.F.A. Sharp determined to go into the theatre following her graduation from Cum Laude with an B.F.A. Sharp played in her first Broadway National Tour of Carousel. Other theatre performances include: Abyssinia, Aida, Thunder Knockin', Jitney, The Producers, Big Street, Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, in which Sharp was a co-reader with writer August Wilson himself. Sharp is also working on other projects which she's working on, in addition to the productions for stage and screen. Sharp performs and is in the process of putting together an album of full length. Sharp is a fan of fitness. She stays fit by training in boxing, learning Krav Maga, and taking long roadtrips. Sharp resides with her family, including her husband and lives in Los Angeles.
